K·OMICS. KOCCA
Korean stories. A brand built for the world.
I managed the rebranding of K-Story & Comics, the Korea Creative Content Agency’s overseas expansion program for Korean comics and webtoons. I developed a flexible identity system that could adapt to changing locations and event formats while building lasting recognition in global markets.

REFRAMING THE PROBLEM
A brand that had to start over every year.
The program’s name and expression changed by host city and year, making it difficult for one event’s recognition to carry into the next. I identified the need for a single global brand that could build value over time.
DEVELOPING THE NAME
Making Korean content easy to recognize and remember.
I explored names built around “K” that international audiences could pronounce and remember, proposing K·OMICS as the leading option. The name evokes comics and Korean content, while the dot between K and OMICS provides a distinctive graphic element.
DESIGNING FOR SCALE
A flexible identity for every city and year.
I developed integrated guidelines for international exhibitions, promotional materials, and digital marketing. The system gave different teams practical standards for delivering a consistent brand experience without needing the original planner involved in every application.
